Vernita Nemec

Vernita Nemec, born in Ohio, earned a BFA from Ohio University and her MFA from New York University. She became creating and exhibiting her work in NYC in the 70’s and continues to have a prolific career with performances and exhibitons at notable institutions such as the Guggenheim in New York City, the Pompidou Museum in Paris, the Hiroshima Prefecture Museum in Art in Japan. She was also exhibited in numerous galleries. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Asian American Art Center, Savaria Museum in Hungary, and Sylvia Sleigh Collection of Feminist Art at Rowan University along with many private collections across the United States and Europe.
