Patricia Miller

Patricia Miller, formerly a professor of occupational therapy and gerontology at Columbia University, where she also received her doctorate, studied art at the Louvre in Paris. Throughout the years she has been capturing the beauty of nature in her sketchbooks as she has traveled domestically and abroad. Miller is a mixed media artist who creates land and seascapes using acrylic, collage and/or assemblage. Her primary goal in developing these abstract and semi-abstract images is to raise viewers' awareness of both nature's beauty and vulnerability. She has been included in several group shows in the metropolitan New York area.
